Within our work in the field of wind technology, we focus on fluid mechanics and aerodynamics. We investigate the effects of wind and other flows using advanced computer simulations (Computational Fluid Dynamics, CFD) and wind tunnel testing.
Wind has a major impact on our daily lives. Buildings and structures must not only withstand extreme wind forces, but also provide a comfortable living and working environment. In addition, airflow and heat transfer play a key role in industrial processes, where they are crucial for quality, efficiency and safety.
For our calculations, we use state-of-the-art CFD techniques, ranging from Reynolds-Averaged Navier–Stokes (RANS) calculations to Large Eddy Simulations (LES). This enables us to deliver reliable and detailed analyses for a wide variety of projects.
