Home / High rise buildings
Across the Netherlands’ major cities, the demand for affordable housing has far outpaced supply for years. Metropolitan hubs like Rotterdam and The Hague face an urgent challenge: accommodating more residents within the same urban footprint. The solution is high-rise development, and a great deal more of it in the years ahead.
In the Netherlands, any building taller than 70 meters qualifies as high-rise. Today, more than 200 such towers already shape our skylines, with many more to come.
We understand that successful high-rise projects require much more than striking architecture. From the earliest sketch to final delivery, our specialists integrate spatial planning considerations such as wind, sunlight and shadow, and noise with fire safety, building physics, and sustainability to create safe, comfortable, and future-proof towers.
We believe integrated design is essential. At the start of every project, we work closely with developers and design teams to ensure all disciplines are aligned from the very beginning. This includes a conceptual approach to the design challenge, early coordination between spatial, safety, and sustainability aspects, and initial calculations to identify risks and balance functionality, technical feasibility, and budget. By aligning all these elements early on, we streamline the process, prevent costly surprises, and ensure a result that works for both people and the city.
Our expertise has helped bring some of the Netherlands’ most recognisable towers to life:
If you are building higher, we help you build smarter.
