Laboratory for Building Physics

Contact information

At our Building Physics Laboratory in Mook, we have test setups and facilities to conduct research in the fields of building physics, indoor climate, comfort, façade quality, and HVAC systems.

Laboratory Facilities

Climate chambers, where we investigate full-scale mock-ups of (office) spaces to assess thermal comfort, the performance of installation components, and the interaction between technical installations and architectural structures.

Façade testing setups, both indoor and outdoor, allowing full-scale façade sections to be tested for:

  • Air and water tightness
  • Resistance to driving rain
  • Structural stiffness
  • Condensation behavior
  • Thermal insulation performance
  • We also test sealing materials and façade ventilation systems.
  • A test setup for measuring the thermal efficiency of ventilation units with heat recovery (HRV), in accordance with EN 13141-7 and EN 308.
  • Space for experimental setups and applied research on installation components and other product evaluations.
