The A57 in Neuss experiences heavy traffic between the Norf and Hafen interchanges and is to be expanded from six to eight lanes. As part of the project, the noise barriers running along almost the entire section of the expansion, as well as several bridges, will need to be renewed. Peutz is supporting the project in the field of air pollutants.
In addition to the impacts on human health, nitrogen deposits in the neighboring FFH areas “NSG Uedesheimer Rheinbogen” and “Rhine Fish Protection Zones between Emmerich and Bad Honnef” were also examined.
