Walibi Holland is located in Biddinghuizen, a town within the municipality of Dronten in the province of Flevoland. The complex consists of three main components: an amusement park, a large event area of approximately 80 hectares, and a holiday park called Walibi Village.
The amusement park is a popular destination for families and thrill-seekers, with around 40 attractions. About 10 of these are spectacular roller coasters, ranging from family-friendly to extreme rides, attracting thousands of visitors each year.

The adjacent event area is best known as the venue for two of the Netherlands’ largest and most renowned music festivals: Lowlands, which features a wide range of music styles and arts, and Defqon.1, the country’s largest hardstyle and electronic dance festival. Both festivals draw tens of thousands of visitors annually from the Netherlands and abroad.
Since 1991, when the Walibi Group acquired the former Flevohof and transformed it into Walibi Holland, Peutz has worked closely with the park as an acoustic consultant. Our role involves conducting noise studies and advising on the noise standards and permit requirements applicable to events at the site. We support Walibi Holland and the event organizers in ensuring responsible noise management.
During major music festivals, we continuously carry out noise measurements at various locations around the park and its surroundings. These measurements are conducted on behalf of Walibi Holland, as the permit holder. By monitoring noise levels in real time, we ensure that all activities remain within the established limits, minimizing disturbance for local residents.
