Home / Repeated Opening and Closing of Doors and Windows (EN 1191)
The fire resistance and smoke leakage classification for doors and windows can be extended with a classification for resistance to repeated opening and closing in accordance with EN 1191. This is also part of the product standard for CE marking of external doors and windows and industrial doors (including roller doors, sliding doors, etc.). The classification depends on the number of open and close cycles performed and ranges from C0 to C5 (200,000 cycles). The C classification without a number applies only to self-closing doors and windows for which no additional EN 1191 test has been performed.
